There are many stages in the process from concrete footings and concrete walls that are reinforced with rebar dowels and high strength concrete. Also proper insulation techniques should be taken to prevent damage to existing structure, followed by reinforced concrete stairs and high strength concrete. All cities in Waterloo Region have free pre-approved building plans for basement entrances. The pre-approved plans are high quality products that exceed Ontario building codes and speed up the permit process.
